First off of the block!
Howdy party person, Kris here from Pulp Engine HQ. I wanted to first thank you for your attention on this new project, as I am very excited about it and it represents a lot of work on the back end for me to bring to life!
Harvest Moon is what I plan to be about a fifty-three, or so, page graphic novel, all rendered in dip and brush pen with a blended digital and traditional approach. The story is already written - as in it has an ending planned - and all that is left is for me to do is drawing thing, haha! But that is honestly where this project begins, not finishes. This is the first of many projects planned under the Pulp Engine Press moniker. There are many stories to be told through different approaches and techniques and I am excited to bring them all to you. (Seriously, I have a list...)
That's where you come in! I'll be uploading these comics here on this blog, one page at a time in order to build interest and keep the head of steam that I've built up around this project choofing along. These pages will be available entirely for free and represent the final art that will be available at the same time for sale through prints in the store and NFT drops to help with fundraising. Once the story is completed, I'm aiming to bring on more people and publish an entire volume, collecting the pages into a full colour graphic novel which will be available in some fashion thereafter.
Whether or not this happens through kickstarter or another service, or is just organised on an ad-hoc basis, once the book is available, the free archive will be replaced with the next story, available entirely for free thereafter. To make this all possible I'm desperate for feedback from you, the reader. I am committed to bringing you more of what you want out of this project. Whether you would like to see more behind the scenes of my process or want to hear more about the lore behind each story, let me know!
In addition to this blog, you'll be able to catch content all over social media and I'm looking into starting a donation or patreon type service as well. So keep in touch and be sure to tell me how you would best like to experience this content. In the mean time, I'm diving back into pushing around the ink that makes it all possible. Leave a comment, let me know and I'm sure we'll be talking again very soon.
